Start By Believing Scavenger Hunt
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
VCU Police, The Wellness Resource Center and the Central Virginia Start By Believing Task Force hold a scavenger hunt at Larrick Student Center to spread the word about sexual assault awareness and the Start By Believing Campaign. Participants will meet with various VCU and community resources available in regards to sexual assault awareness and learn how to "Start By Believing" by signing the pledge. There will be giveaways. To be entered to win the grand prize, participants can visit with all of the community partners.
VCU Brandcenter Friday Forum

VCU Biostatistics: 2017 Spring Seminar Series

'Photo Friday with the ICA'
12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The School of Business Experiential Marketing Class presents "Photo Friday with the ICA" on the Commons Plaza. Participants will build 3D puzzles centered around the ICA being Richmond's "missing puzzle piece," solve a bead guessing game for a chance to win a Fitbit and interact with artwork through the green screen experience.
RPI Dedication Ceremony
3:30 p.m.
VCU Alumni and the Activities Programming Board hold a dedication ceremony commemorating the accomplishments of the Richmond Professional Institute in the University Student Commons Theater. There will be brief remarks from students and staff, followed by refreshments and a commemorative prize for attendees.
'Sonic Boom! Christine Darden, Ph.D., a Real-Life Hidden Figure'
4:15 p.m.
The Departments of Mathematics, African-American Studies and Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies host a talk by Christine Darden, Ph.D., an American mathematician, data analyst and aeronautical engineer who devoted her 40 year career in aerodynamics to researching sonic booms at NASA, in the Academic Learning Commons, Room 1107. Darden is one of the women scientists featured in "Hidden Figures," a book by Margo Lee Shetterly.

Activities Programming Board: Weekly Movies
7 p.m.
The Activities Programming Board presents a screening of "Sully" at 7 p.m. and "Sausage Party" at 9:30 p.m. in the Commons Theater. Movies will also be shown on Saturday, April 8, with "Sausage Party" starting at 7 p.m. and "Sully" at 9:30 p.m. in the Commons Theater.

The Intercultural Festival presents ICF Day at Floyd Ave. and the Compass. Attendees will enjoy free food, student vendors, a petting zoo and prizes.
Activities Programming Board: 'Moana Under the Stars'
Sunday, Apr. 9, 2017 at 7 p.m.
The Activities Programming Board presents a special outdoor showing of Disney's "Moana" on the Commons Plaza. Attendees can bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Popcorn and water will also be provided.
Fourth Annual 5KE Fun Run/Walk
Sunday, Apr. 9, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The School of Pharmacy's Tau chapter of Kappa Epsilon presents its fourth annual 5KE Fun Run/Walk at Robious Landing Park, 3800 James River Road in Midlothian. The event benefits the Amy Whitaker Rudenko Memorial Scholarship in memory of an SOP alumna (Pharm.D. '98) and faculty member who died of breast cancer in 2013. The cost is $15 and includes breakfast and a raffle ticket; prizes will be awarded the top male and top female runners.

VCU Student Social Justice Fund
The Division for Inclusive Excellence has established the new VCU Student Social Justice Fund. Teams of students, with support of a faculty or staff mentor, will submit proposals for creative and new solutions to challenges facing our campus, local, national or international communities. Up to four proposals will each receive awards of $2,500 to implement their innovative solutions during summer and fall 2017.

Policy Open for Public Comment: Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities
The Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities policy is now open for university comment through Friday, April 7. The policy has been revised to include a grievance procedure for student complaints regarding accommodation or accessibility.
