Fulbright Scholar Information Sessions
12 p.m.
The Global Education Office and National Scholarship Office host workshops on the Faculty Fulbright Scholar Program at noon in the Kontos Medical Sciences Building, Room 104, and at 3 p.m. in West Grace Street Student Housing-North, Room 1030J. Fulbright representative, Andy Reiss, will discuss global teaching and research opportunities, how to select countries for application and make contacts abroad, how departments can host visiting scholars and how to prepare the Fulbright application.

10th Annual Equity and Social Justice Conference
Saturday, Mar. 4, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
The School of Education presents the 10th annual Equity and Social Justice Conference at the Academic Learning Commons. Keynotes will include Leigh Patel, Boston College; SJ Miller, New York University; and Eugene Puryear, Movement for Black Lives. This conference will focus on the role of teaching and leadership in struggles for equity, justice and liberation.

Staff Senate presents its fourth annual professional development conference, "Discover the Greatness in You," from March 8-9 in the University Student Commons. This full-day conference will be offered on two days so employees can choose which day works best for their schedule. This year's conference will feature two renowned keynote speakers who will lead discussions on important workplace issues such as productivity, motivation and the importance of diversity and civility. 'Celebrating Women in Islam: Portraits of Extraordinary Women and Personal Narratives'
Monday, Mar. 13, 2017 at 6 p.m.
In honor of Women's History Month, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, University Counseling Services and the Muslim Student Association present "Celebrating Women in Islam: Portraits of Extraordinary Women and Personal Narratives" in the University Student Commons, Room 215. VCU students who identify as Muslim will highlight exceptional Muslim women in history, as well as share their personal stories as women within Islam.
TriNetX Demonstration and Training Session for Researchers
Tuesday, Mar. 14, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research announces that VCU has joined the TriNetX network. The Wright CCTR, along with TriNetX, provide a researcher-oriented training session at the McGlothlin Medical Education Center, Conference Room 3-101 to demonstrate how TriNetX can help VCU researchers attract more industry-sponsored trials, collaborate with peer institutions and research patient populations.

Planned Parenthood Generation Action @ VCU: An Abortion Speak-Out

Planned Parenthood Generation Action @ VCU presents its first "Abortion Speak-Out" at the Firehouse Theatre, 1609 W. Broad St., to fight the stigma around abortion. Attendees that are interested and comfortable are invited to share their story in-person or can have their story told by one of the Gen Action members. RamAway: Accepting Reservations Through March 2
For those needing a ride back home for Spring Break, RamAway provides free transportation for faculty, staff and students during designated holidays and semester breaks to and/or from the Richmond International Airport, Greyhound Bus Station and Amtrak at Main Street Station and Staples Mill Road. Transit Guest Passes Now Available Online
RamRide and RamSafe guest passes are now available for download online for all VCU faculty, staff and students.
