The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research invites the VCU community to attend the next Central Virginia SoCRA Chapter meeting in the McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 11th Floor, Rooms 11-101 and 11-102. A webinar titled "The Two Faces of Research: The Havasupai Indian Experience with Arizona State University Research" will be shown, followed by a discussion. 1.0 CEU will be offered for this meeting.

VCU Community Health Education Center: Mindfulness Meditation Sessions
12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The VCU Community Health Education Center hosts 30-minute mindfulness meditation sessions every Wednesday and Friday at noon and 12:30 p.m. at the center, VCU Medical Center, Gateway Building, Ground Floor. The sessions will be led by Georgianne Ginder, MSc, CHWC, VCU Department of Arts in Healthcare. Participants can relax and reduce stress with this healthy practice. Space is limited. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research presents its "Discovery Dialogues" seminar, "Discovery of Interleukin-18 as a Target for Heart Failure Treatment," featuring Stefano Toldo, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Internal Medicine, in Main Hospital, First Floor, Learning Center (across from the cafeteria). Faculty, staff, students, patients and families are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

School of Education Scholarship and Awards Ceremony

The School of Education presents the School of Education Scholarship and Awards Ceremony in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms. The ceremony recognizes the 2017-2018 scholarship recipients and donors, and includes special award presentations to alumni. Participate in the Integrity and Compliance Culture Survey by March 24 for a Chance to Win a Prize
The Integrity and Compliance Office reminds employees to share their insights in an anonymous 5-7 minute survey focused on VCU's culture by Wednesday, March 24. Call for Applications: Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute at Oxford University
The Global Education Office accepts applications for the 2017 Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute to take place at Oxford University from July 2-9. The institute is an opportunity for faculty to enhance a research project through a week of focused study. Participants' time is their own for study and writing, as well as taking advantage of cultural activities offered at Oxford University. Applications are due by Monday, March 13, at 4:30 p.m.
