'Who You Calling a Slut?'
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
SAVES (Students Advocating Violence Education and Support) presents a night of performance pieces in the name of advocacy in the University Student Commons Theater. Slut shaming, (un)healthy sexuality and how these contribute to rape culture will be discussed. There will be an open mic session for whoever wants to speak their truth. Snacks will be provided.
Kappa Phi Gamma's Mr. C.A.R.E. Pageant
8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Kappa Phi Gamma is hosting their annual Mr. C.A.R.E. Pageant in the University Student Commons, Commons Ballrooms. Dinner will be provided by Hibachi Box and a Red Eye Gift Card will be raffled. Contestants from Alpha Phi Alpha, Sigma Chi, Lambda Phi Epsilon, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Beta Rho and Students Supporting Doctors without Borders will compete.

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs presents "The Pop Up Shop" featuring American rapper, record producer, actor and activist David Banner in the University Student Commons Theater. Tickets are required for this event and are available free of charge in the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Commons Suite 215.
"Memoirs of Mass Incarceration: The Rhetoric of Revolutionaries, Witnesses and Survivors"
Thursday, Apr. 27, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In this talk based on his manuscript, "Memoirs of Mass Incarceration: The Rhetoric of Revolutionaries, Witnesses and Survivors," David Coogan, VCU associate professor of English, tells the story of the rise of mass incarceration in America through memoirs and witnesses. VCU Libraries hosts this free talk in Cabell Library, Room 250.

VCU Engineering 2017 Capstone Design Expo
Friday, Apr. 28, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The School of Engineering presents its Capstone Design Expo at the Siegel Center. The event allows undergraduate engineering students the chance to share capstone projects with the greater Richmond community and to increase the awareness of the engineering profession among middle and high school students. Held in April, the annual event offers capstone design teams the opportunity to display and demonstrate their prototypes, which are the culmination of eight months of effort. More than 90 students will participate in this year's expo.

Outdoor Adventure Program: Weekend Bike Tour
Saturday, Apr. 29, 2017 at 6 a.m.
The Outdoor Adventure Program offers a weekend bike tour trip through Eastern Virginia from April 29-30. The group will be riding at an easy pace each day and camping each night. Experienced staff will be on-hand to assist with bike maintenance, instruction and encouragement. The cost for students will be $44; the cost for VCU Rec Sports members will be $50.

'Global Health and Social Media'
Monday, May 22, 2017 at 9 a.m.
The Robertson School of Media and Culture presents "Global Health and Social Media," an intensive special topics seminar conducted asynchronously online through Thursday, June 22. By enrolling through the VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education, community participants will explore the theory and practice of social media campaigns for global health issues, alongside VCU undergraduate students. Work is done on the participants' schedules to meet assigned deadlines. The cost is $99. Additional fee for CEUs.
