The Wellness Resource Center, "The Well," hosts "What's Your Lube?" and invites the VCU community to have a discussion on sex, low-risk substance use and if it's possible to combine the two in Harris Hall, Room 2114.
Kappa Delta Rho's 'Karnival for Kids'
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kappa Delta Rho hosts its fourth annual "KDR Karnival for Kids" on the Commons Plaza. There will be games, prizes and performances by VCU student organizations. All proceeds will benefit the B+ Foundation to assist in their efforts to provide funding and support to children diagnosed with cancer.
2017 Annual PACME Celebration

President Michael Rao, Ph.D., and the Division for Inclusive Excellence invite the VCU and VCU Health communities to the 2017 Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment (PACME) in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballroom. Attendees will join in recognition of this years' award winners: Charlene D. Crawley, Ph.D.; Selamawit Hailu; Austin L. Higgs; Wendy L. Kliewer, Ph.D.; and Sasha Spruill. All have made exemplary contributions to promoting civility, building community, establishing cross-cultural initiatives, advocating equity, and nurturing a welcoming and inclusively excellent environment throughout the university and community.

'#FreeBresha Teach-in: Overcriminalization and the Trauma-to-Prison Pipeline'

The Wellness Resource Center, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and Action Alliance host "#FreeBresha Teach-in" at the Action Alliance, 1118 W. Main St. Bresha Meadows is a 14-year-old who is incarcerated for defending herself against her father's terror and abuse. The Multicultural Greek Council holds its 2017 "Stroll Off" on the Commons Plaza. The first 125 guests will receive free King of Pops and Red Eye Cookies and Beats headphones will be raffled off. Tank tops will be sold to benefit the Egyptian Cancer Network. The rain space will be in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms.
New Strategic Plan Town Hall

'Market Marronage: Enslaved Women and the Informal Economy in Nineteenth Century Jamaica'

Attendees will learn effective advocacy skills to help empower survivors, receive an overview of solution-focused, trauma-informed care and learn the principles of Forensic Experiential Trauma Interviewing (FETI).
VCU Engineering 2017 Capstone Design Expo

The School of Engineering presents its Capstone Design Expo at the Siegel Center. The event allows undergraduate engineering students the chance to share capstone projects with the greater Richmond community and to increase the awareness of the engineering profession among middle and high school students. Held in April, the annual event offers capstone design teams the opportunity to display and demonstrate their prototypes, which are the culmination of eight months of effort. More than 90 students will participate in this year's expo.

Outdoor Adventure Program: Weekend Bike Tour
Saturday, Apr. 29, 2017 at 6 a.m.
The Outdoor Adventure Program offers a weekend bike tour trip through Eastern Virginia from April 29-30. The group will be riding at an easy pace each day and camping each night. Experienced staff will be on-hand to assist with bike maintenance, instruction and encouragement. The cost for students will be $44; the cost for VCU Rec Sports members will be $50.
