Eat Green and the Office of Sustainability host a "Zero-Waste Earth Day Picnic" on the Sahara Lawn, across from Chipotle on Grace St. Over 15 local organizations focused on health, efficiency and sustainability will be in attendance. Students Advocating for Violence Education and Support (SAVES) presents Denim Day on Wednesday, April 26, on both campuses and encourages the VCU community to wear jeans on campus in solidarity to stand against victim-blaming. SAVES will have tables set up the week before Denim Day in residence halls for a jean drive where students may donate jeans. Tables will also be set up on Monday, April 24, and Tuesday, April 25, on the Compass for students to write on jeans with messages to survivors.

VCU Rec Sports offers a Lifeguard Certification course from May 15-19. At the completion of the course, participants will receive American Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid/Oxygen certifications, valid for two years. The course is open for students, members and non-members of VCU Rec Sports who are over the age of 15.
