VCUDine: Cinco de Mayo
Friday, May 5, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
VCUDine offers an authentic, Cinco de Mayo-themed lunch in Shafer Court Dining Center's Market 810. Attendees can dig into a plate full of chocolate mole chicken drumsticks, Mexican rice, pork quesadillas or Tijuana tacos, and load up on toppings at Stir Crazy's nacho bar, or treat yourself to the upper-cut of the day: Carne Asada served with fajita vegetables, Mexican rice and guacamole. Top-off the meal with cinnamon-sugar churros or slice of Mexican chocolate spiced cake for dessert.

Third Annual Student Excellence in Interprofessionalism Recognition Ceremony
Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 4 p.m.
The Center for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care recognizes students who demonstrated significant involvement and promotion of interprofessional activities in the W. Baxter Perkinson Jr. Building, Third Floor, Brown Conference Room 3114. Colleagues, students, faculty, friends and family are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

Commencement Breakfast
Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
VCU Alumni invites graduates to begin their graduation day with the 2017 Commencement Breakfast at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. 3rd St. This event is open to all December 2016, May 2017 and August 2017 graduates and guests. Afterward, graduates can walk over to the Coliseum for graduation.

Lifeguard Re-Certification @ VCU Rec Sports
Saturday, May 20, 2017 at noon
VCU Rec Sports offers an American Red Cross lifeguard re-certification to those with a current American Red Cross lifeguard, first aid, CPR/AED certification. This class will re-certify participants in American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR, AED, first aid and oxygen for two years. The course costs $50 for students, $75 for members and $125 for non-members. The program is from May 20-21, and registration ends Friday, May 19, at noon.
