Students Advocating Violence Education and Support (SAVES) holds an interest meeting in the University Student Commons, Alumni Board Room. SAVES is a peer education group on campus speaking and raising awareness on the topics of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking. Attendees will learn more about the organization to see if they would be interested in joining.

Due to multiple events impacting nearby traffic and street accessibility this week, the Cabell Library bus stop will be closed beginning at noon on Thursday, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 27. There will be no Express service on Thursday, Aug. 24, or Friday, Aug. 25. The Cabell bus stop is expected to reopen at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28; however, should accessibility improve, service may be provided sooner. Connector passengers should proceed to the Laurel and Main Street stop for service.

The VCU Outdoor Adventure Program offers a beach stand-up paddle boarding day trip on Saturday, Sept. 9. The cost is $22 for students and $25 for members. VCU Rec Sports offers an ACE Group Exercise Instructor Prep Course for those interested in becoming a group exercise instructor. Interest meetings will be held on Monday, Aug. 28, and Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 7-8 p.m. in the Cary Street Gym, Wet Classroom. During the course, participants will learn the skills needed to lead fun and effective fitness classes, as well as sit for and pass a national certification.
