Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Wellness Resource Center hosts a Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) Support Group every Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. beginning Aug. 29. Students who identify in the TGNC community (including, but not limited to: trans, non-binary, gender fluid, genderqueer, agender, bigender) are welcome to attend this confidential space. VCU Community Health Education Center: Mindfulness Meditation Sessions
Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 from noon to 1 p.m.
The VCU Community Health Education Center hosts 30-minute mindfulness meditation sessions every Wednesday and Friday at noon and 12:30 p.m. at the center, VCU Medical Center, Gateway Building, Ground Floor. Sessions are led by Georgianne Ginder, Department of Arts in Healthcare. Participants can relax, focus and reduce stress with this healthy practice. Space is limited. New MCV Campus Parking Office Hours
Beginning on Monday, Aug. 28, the MCV Campus parking office, located at 659 N. Eighth St., will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The customer service call center will continue to provide service from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
2017 Service Awards
2017 marks the 46th annual service awards celebration for VCU and VCU Health faculty and staff with five to 55 years of service. The ceremony/reception will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 3-5 p.m. in the Stuart C. Siegel Center. Invitations will be emailed in late Aug. To see this year's list, visit the website below. Outdoor Adventure Program: Upcoming Day Hikes
The VCU Outdoor Adventure Program offers day hikes through the Blue Ridge Mountains on Sunday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 24. The cost is $15 for students and $20 for faculty/staff. Food is not included in this price, so participants should pack a lunch. Register online or in-person at the Outing Rental Center from Thursday, Aug. 24 through Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Become a Friendship Family for an International Student
The Friendship Family and Cultural Exchange Program for international students, sponsored by the Global Education Office, seeks volunteers interested in becoming a friendship family for a VCU international student or scholar. The program matches VCU students and scholars with local Richmond families for cultural exchange and friendship. The FFACE program stimulates curiosity, increases cultural understanding and provides insight into a world beyond individual perspectives.
