Relationship Skills Classes on MCV and Monroe Park Campus

The Well at VCU hosts a six-week class to help students build skills to develop and maintain healthier relationships. A class for LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and other gender and sexual minorities) students will be offered on the MCV Campus. Student Government Appropriations Deadline for Spring 2018

The Student Government Association reminds student organizations that they are able to apply for spring 2018 funding through Sunday, Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m. via RamConnect. The appropriations funding request deadlines are divided into three funding periods. The funding request deadlines are: spring 2018 requests are due Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017; summer 2018 requests are due Thursday, March 1, 2018; and fall 2018 requests are due Sunday, April 1, 2018. Students can review the SGA funding powerpoint and proposed appropriations bylaws on the SGA website.

Rec Sports Outdoor Adventure Program: Day River Stand-Up Paddle Boarding

The Outdoor Adventure Program offers river stand-up paddle board day trips for participants to learn the basics of stability, balance and maneuvering on a stand-up paddle board. Participants will discover why this sport is taking off in popularity amongst surfers, fisherman and recreational paddlers around the world. The cost is $15 for students and $20 for members. Rename Common Ground

University Student Commons and Activities invites all current students to submit names for the student organization space formerly known as Common Ground, located on the lower level of the University Student Commons, Room 015. New Student Orientation Team: Call for Applications

New Student and Family Programs accepts applications for Student and Family Orientation Leaders for summer 2018. In order to be considered, applicants must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA and a satisfactory background check. In addition, Student Orientation Leader applicants must plan to return to VCU in fall 2018; Family Orientation Leader applicants may have plans to graduate prior to summer 2018. The deadline to apply is Monday, Oct. 2, at 11:59 p.m.
