VCU Police: Bike Registration and Lock Exchange

VCU Police Crime Prevention officers will be registering bikes on the Compass. Students who have cable or chain locks can exchange them for a new U-lock. This event is free and open to all VCU students.
'#ThatsWhatILike: Dating in College'
12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The Well and YWCA of Richmond present "#ThatsWhatILike," an interactive discussion of intimate partner violence, its signs and symptoms, and how to support individuals who are experiencing an abusive relationship in college, in the University Student Commons, Alumni Board Room. VCU Fall Jazz Festival

VCU Jazz Orchestras I and II and faculty perform in a special three-set concert in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door and free with a VCU student ID. RHA Fall Fest

The Residence Hall Association hosts the third annual Fall Festival on the University Student Commons Plaza. There will be a variety of free food, games, rides, a mechanical bull and pumpkin carving. Students should bring their student ID.
Emerson String Quartet

The Department of Music presents the Emerson String Quartet in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, as part of the Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Concert Series. Film Screening: 'Obit'

The Robertson School of Media and Culture presents a screening of "OBIT," a highly acclaimed film about the obituary desk at "The New York Times," in the University Student Commons Theater. Caps, Gowns and Hoods for December Commencement
December Commencement exercises take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, in the E.J. Wade Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. Students participating in the ceremony must wear caps, gowns and hoods. Academic regalia is available for purchase at the Barnes & Noble @ VCU beginning Tuesday, Oct. 10, on the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. Those unable to visit a campus store may order online at vcu.shopoakhalli.com beginning Thursday, Oct. 12. The last day to order online is Sunday, Nov. 26. Caps and gowns will not be available for purchase at the Commencement ceremony.
