Hernandez is chair of Mentoring Engaging and Teaching All Students (METAS), a nonprofit organization that trains educators internationally to work with blind/low vision students and students with other disabilities. On Campus Flu Shot Clinics

Human Resources provides eligible VCU faculty and staff with seasonal flu shots on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in October. For dates and locations, visit the website below. To receive the vaccine, employees must participate in the State Health Benefits program and show their health plan card. Note that employees who intend to use the shots to obtain "Do Right" credit for the Aetna Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) must obtain written confirmation of the flu shot from Walgreens when they receive their shot.

Military Student Services plans to honor faculty and staff who have served, are serving, or who have a family member who has served or is currently serving with a "Military Service Wall of Honor" in the Cabell Library. To participate, submit a photo of yourself and/or your family member(s), preferably dressed in uniform if possible, though any photo of you or your family member will be accepted. Include your name, branch of service, time served, and your current position at VCU. New research study on anxiety and health in young adults enrolling now!

Researchers in the OPT for health lab at VCU want to learn more about the relationship between anxiety, health, and mood.
