"First-Gen Fridays" is an opportunity for first-generation college students, faculty and staff from around the university to connect. Those interested can join throughout the semester to network and to learn about relevant opportunities and resources designed to enhance student success.

Due to multiple events impacting nearby traffic and street accessibility this week, the Cabell Library bus stop will be closed beginning at noon on Thursday, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 27. There will be no Express service on Thursday, Aug. 24, or Friday, Aug. 25. The Cabell bus stop is expected to reopen at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28; however, should accessibility improve, service may be provided sooner. Connector passengers should proceed to the Laurel and Main Street stop for service.

The VCU Outdoor Adventure Program offers a weekend of sea kayaking from Sept. 9-10. The student price will be $44 and member price will be $50. The price includes food, transportation, equipment and guides. Register online or in-person at the Outing Rental Center from Thursday, Aug. 24, to Tuesday, Sept. 5.
