'Fall Back In Love With ICF'

The Intercultural Festival presents its welcome back event, "Fall Back In Love With ICF," in the University Student Commons, Richmond Salons. Attendees will enjoy free pizza, cultural activities, musical chairs and bingo. Three grand prizes will be given for lucky winners.
Latinx Kick-Off Event: Location Change
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs celebrates the start of Latinx Heritage Month with an event featuring G. Antonio Espinoza, Ph.D., Department of History, in the University Student Commons, Room 215.
B.A.S.E.: School of the Arts Mixer
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Black Art Student Empowerment holds a social mixer in West Grace Street Student Housing-South, Room 1004A. This is an opportunity for attendees to meet, mingle and connect with the students and staff of VCUarts.
Jesús Silva Guitar Scholarship Recital
7 p.m.
The Department of Music presents a free recital featuring recipients of the Jesús Silva Merit Scholarship for classical guitarists in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall. Established in 1991, the scholarship is named for Jesús Silva (1914-1996), a world renowned guitar virtuoso, teacher, and Musician Artist-in-Residence at VCU from 1979 to 1982. Admission is free.

'Art of Noise'
8 p.m. to 11:55 p.m.
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs presents "Art of Noise" at the Larrick Student Center. The event will feature Kelli Lemon, Mad Skillz, and DJ Lonnie B. Attendees must attend two or more "Hip Hop Summit" events to attend the "Art of Noise: DJ'ing is an Art." The DJ's won't just play songs, they will paint pictures with sounds and enhance what a person is feeling based on what they're playing. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes to this old skool hip hop party.

'Parichaya '17'

Tiranga-Indian Nationals at VCU holds a new student welcome event, "Parichaya," in the University Student Commons, Virginia Rooms A-D. Attendees will have fun while meeting some new and old people from the community and have an opportunity to socialize. There will be food, games, raffle prizes, gifts and dancing. Everyone is welcome.
Muslim Students Association: Eid Banquet 2017
Saturday, Sep. 16, 2017 at 7 p.m.
The Muslim Students Association presents its Eid Banquet in the University Student Commons, Richmond Salons. This is the biggest MSA event of the semester in celebration of Eid Al Adha, one of the major holidays in the Islamic religion. For details, email vcumsa@gmail.com
VCUDine: Shafer Brunch

VCUDine offers a brunch extravaganza at Shafer Court Dining Center. A specialty omelet filled with lump crab, asparagus and smoked Gouda will be available for one swipe. The French toast bar will offer an assortment of fruit and candy toppings. Chicken and waffles, scrambled eggs and hash browns will be served at the Fan Fare station. Virginia21 invites students to decorate cupcakes in Cabell Library, Room 152. The fall campaign and upcoming events will be discussed over cupcakes. Virginia21 is a non-partisan, political organization that focuses on higher education.

VCU Globe Open House

VCU Globe hosts an open house in West Grace Street Student Housing-North. Attendees will learn about the program and have questions answered by Globe staff. Applications are being accepted and the priority deadline is Friday, Nov. 3.
'Thank a Donor Day'

The Offices of Donor Relations, Communications and Annual Giving coordinate two "Thank a Donor Days" on Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Compass outside of Cabell Library, and on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Compass outside of Larrick Student Center. Upcoming RamRide Impacts
Due to extensive road closures on Leigh, Clay and Marshall streets, the Connector Express will discontinue service at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15. Additionally, the I Lot shuttle will suspend service to the Coliseum Deck beginning at 4 p.m. Coliseum Deck subscribers who cannot exit by 4 p.m. should park in D Deck during this time. In the event road closures extend into the weekend, additional impacts to the Connector and/or RamSafe may occur.

Registration for Relationship Skills Classes
The Well hosts a Relationship Skills Class, a six-week psychoeducational class for students to build skills for healthy relationships. This class is free and not for credit. Multiple classes will be offered for LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and other gender and sexual minorities) as well as for the general student population. Try Transit Week: Sept. 18-22
Parking and Transportation encourages students, faculty and staff to participate in Try Transit Week from Sept. 18-22. Try Transit Week is a week-long, educational event designed to encourage Virginians to try a form of public transportation such as bus, rail, vanpool or ferry. Parking and Transportation, in partnership with Ridefinders, will host a table in the University Student Commons on Monday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., to provide additional information. Visitors can register to win a 30-day transit pass.
