The Fall Block Step Show Committee hosts a fun and relaxing happy hour with games and free pizza in the University Student Commons, OMSA Office, Suite 215. This happy hour is the last event leading up to the annual Fall Block Step Show on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Altria Theater, 6 N. Laurel St.
First Fridays Meet-and-Greet

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs presents a "First Fridays" American Indian event featuring music, dancing and networking in the University Student Commons, Room 215.
'The Balfour Declaration Centennial: How a 1917 Proclamation Shaped Israel and Palestine'

The Center for Judaic Studies, Global Education Office, Humanities Research Center and the International Studies Program in the School of World Studies present "The Balfour Declaration Centennial: How a 1917 Proclamation Shaped Israel and Palestine" in the University Student Commons Theater. 'VCU BEST Series: Exploring State Jobs in the Sciences'
3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
VCU Career Services and the Center on Health Disparities Research present "Exploring State Jobs in the Sciences" in Harris Hall, Room 2108. Attendees will hear from a panel of employers from various state departments and learn more about the state department, its story and potential opportunities. This is a great opportunity to engage with employers and build social capital. All majors and students are welcome to attend.
Baps Campus Diwali Celebration

BAPS Campus Fellowship at VCU presents "A Campus Diwali" in the T. Edward Temple Building, Room 1165. Attendees will celebrate aspects of the festival of lights in a comfortable and enjoyable environment through traditional music, inspirational guest speeches and delicious free food. VCU Globe hosts an open house in West Grace Street Student Housing-North. Attendees will learn about the program and have questions answered by Globe staff. Applications are being accepted and the final deadline is Friday, Jan. 12.

VCU Recreational Sports, Activities Programming Board, Division of Student Affairs and University Student Commons and Activities sponsor "Rectacular Spectacular" at the Cary Street Field. Homecoming will be welcomed with Family Weekend featuring kickball games, refreshments, music, tailgate games and face painting.

'Embrace the Tradition'
Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
VCU Alumni holds a scavenger hunt-style event to help students check VCU traditions off their bucket list. The hunt consists of 10 designated activities that represent favorite traditions at VCU, starting at the Ram Horns. Participants can create a team of one to four people and use the checklist of clues that each team will be given to locate the traditions across campus. Participants are encouraged to take pictures of themselves at each location, download The Compass-VCU Traditions mobile app and complete each tradition.
'Reign of the Rams'

VCU Homecoming presents "Reign of the Rams" in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms. Attendees will support the 2017 court candidates as they perform in the annual court pageant and lip-sync competition.

VCU Rec Sports OAP: Bicycle Tour Weekend
VCU Rec Sports OAP offers a bicycle tour from Nov. 11-12. Participants will spend the weekend biking the scenic roadways of Eastern Virginia at an easy pace each day. All gear will be on the bike. At night, participants will camp, have dinner and hang out around the fire. Experienced cycling staff will help with instruction, maintenance and encouragement. The cost is $44 for students or $50 for members. Register by Tuesday, Nov. 7.
