Great Bike Roundup
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
RamBikes partners with the Office of Sustainability to hold the annual Great Bike Roundup on the Commons Plaza. Participants will enjoy free bike inspections, informational tables, bike registration and giveaways at this outreach-oriented gathering of Richmond's bike community.
NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Information Session
3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The National Scholarship Office holds an information session in the Honors College, Multipurpose Room, for those interested in applying to graduate school in a STEM-related field to learn more about the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship application process.

Muslim Students Association: Picnic at Bryan Park
5:30 p.m.
The Muslim Students Association presents a picnic at Bryan Park, 4308 Hermitage Rd. The park will be reserved and food will be provided. This event will provide students a change of scenery and allow them to enjoy the fresh air while enjoying each other's company.
SAVES Interest Meeting
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Students Advocating Violence Education and Support (SAVES) holds an interest meeting in the University Student Commons, Alumni Board Room. SAVES is a peer education group on campus speaking and raising awareness on the topics of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking. Attendees will learn more about the organization to see if they would be interested in joining.

The Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research presents Elizabeth Long, CCTR Ph.D. candidate in the psychiatric, behavioral, and statistical genetics concentration (PBSG), defending her thesis in BioTech One, Robert Ball Conference Room.
HEMA Club: First Practice of Semester
Friday, Sep. 1, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The HEMA Club at VCU (Historical European Martial Arts) hosts its first practice of the semester at the Cary Street Gym, Multipurpose Activity Center (MAC). Participants will learn how to sword fight with the German longsword and make new friends. All athletic levels are welcome and no prior martial arts experience is required. Participants should wear athletic clothing and bring water.

Study Abroad Fall Fair

The Global Education Office hosts the annual Study Abroad Fall Fair on the Commons Plaza. Students will have the opportunity to meet study abroad program providers, other students who have studied abroad, and representatives from various offices at VCU that assist with the study abroad process, including Education Abroad, National Scholarship Office and Career Services. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to attend to learn about study abroad options, funding and resources.

RamRide: Labor Day Impacts
The Campus Connector will operate on a reduced schedule of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4 (Labor Day). The A Lot, I Lot, R Lot and M Lot RamRide shuttles will not provide service on Monday, Sept. 4. A Lot, I Lot, R Lot, and M Lot subscribers may park in D Deck on Monday, Sept. 4.

College Colors Day 2017
The Office of Trademarks and Licensing encourages students, faculty and staff to celebrate College Colors Day on Friday, Sept. 1, by wearing VCU gear. The VCU PapaRAMzzi will be around campus giving away free tees and prizes to individuals wearing VCU gear.
