Global Café

The Global Education Office invites all members of the university community to its monthly Global Café in the University Student Commons, Virginia Rooms A-D. Attendees will experience a variety of cuisines and cultures from around the world. This student-centered program is designed to increase awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity at VCU, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet students from across the globe. Each café has a different theme and refreshments are always served. Everyone is welcome at this free event.

'Wednesdays in the Workshop: Getting Started with Arduino'

VCU Libraries hosts "Wednesdays in the Workshop," an open house designed to help attendees explore new equipment, techniques, softwares or experiences every Wednesday at Cabell Library. This week's topic is Arduino. Participants will experiment with interactive electronics that can be programmed to do almost anything.

Objects + Methods Lecture Series: Dafi Kühne

VCUarts Department of Graphic Design presents its Objects + Methods Lecture Series featuring Dafi Kühne, graphic designer / letterpress printmaker from Zürich + Glarus, Switzerland, in Hibbs Hall, Room 403. Since 2009, Kühne has been working full-time in his studio «babyinktwice» designing and printing posters, invitation cards, brochures and magazines for music, art, architecture, theatre and film projects. VCUarts Objects + Methods is a free public lecture series by the Department of Graphic Design.

VCU Master Site Plan: Provide Input at Informal Session

VCU has launched a new Master Site Plan, which will guide development for the next decade, and invites the VCU community to provide input at an informal session in the University Student Commons, First Floor, Floyd Avenue Entrance Lobby. The History Department holds its semi-annual course fair at 811 S. Cathedral Place. This "open house-style" event showcases sample syllabi for all history courses offered during intercession and spring 2018.
