The Department of English sponsors its Faculty Forum in Hibbs Hall, Room 308. The term cyberlibertarianism was developed by scholars to mark the ways right-wing political and social assumptions infiltrate the digital world. Cyberlibertarian foundations structure public and academic debates around issues such as surveillance, open source, open access, bitcoin, blockchain, "internet freedom," "net neutrality," online anonymity, and encryption, via canned revisionist accounts of history that advance the project of universal computerization.

'Trade, Forensics, and WMD: The Trilogy of CBP Laboratories and Scientific Services'

The Forensic Science Department welcomes guest speaker Mike McCormick, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as part of its fall seminar series in the Academic Learning Commons, Room 2201. McCormick will discuss "Trade, Forensics and WMD: The Trilogy of CBP Laboratories and Scientific Services." Admission is free and all are welcome.

Fall STS Lecture Series: 'Frankenstein Dissected'

Science, Technology and Society presents "Frankenstein Dissected: A Panel Discussion on Artificial Life - Past, Present and Future" as part of its fall lecture series, "Science Fact, Science Fiction," in Cabell Library, Lecture Hall, Room 303. 'VCU BEST: Networking with VABIO'
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
VCU Career Services, the Center on Health Disparities Research and VABIO present "Networking with VABIO" in the Biotech One Atrium. Networking in consistently rated as one the most challenging parts of professional development. Attendees will have the opportunity to polish their networking skills with VABIO, the state's largest life sciences membership association with more than 200 member organizations. International Education Week Film Screening: 'Rabbit-Proof Fence'
7:30 p.m.
In celebration of International Education Week, the Global Education Office presents "Rabbit-Proof Fence," the last in a three-part film series, in the University Student Commons Theater. Based on a true story, this film follows the journey of three young Aboriginal "half-caste" girls who were forcibly removed from their families by Australian government officials in 1931 to be trained for positions of servitude. The screening will be followed by discussion.

The Global Education Office hosts the Study Abroad Coffee Bar in Rodney's Cafe. Students interested in studying abroad during winter, spring and summer 2018 are encouraged to attend. RamRide: Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Campus Connector will operate from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. From Nov. 23-25, the Connector will not be in operation. It will resume its normal service schedule on Sunday, Nov. 26. The A Lot, I Lot, M Lot and R Lot routes will not be serviced on Thursday, Nov. 23 or Friday, Nov. 24. Normal service to these lots will resume on Monday, Nov. 27. A Lot, I Lot, M Lot, R Lot, W Deck and K Deck employee subscribers will be permitted to park in the N Deck or 8th Street Deck on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
