The VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program is hosting a spring break trip to Everglades National Park. Participants will learn about sea kayaking and explore marshes, swamps and open water, carrying everything on their kayaks. Trip fees includes transportation to and from south Florida, food, equipment, permits and instruction. Registration ends on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences launches a new series, "Technology Tuesdays," that showcases Innovative Media programs and free library resources and expertise on the MCV Campus. Applications are being accepted for the 2018 Minority Political Leadership Institute (MPLI), a collaborative initiative of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation and the VCU Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute. MPLI is an intensive seven-month leadership development experience for individuals interested in issues important to minority communities. The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute is housed in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.
