Anointed to Dance: 'L. I. T. for G. O. D.'
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at 04 p.m.
Anointed to Dance at VCU presents "L. I. T. for G. O. D.," an afternoon of dance and song, in the University Student Commons, Richmond Salon III. There will be performances by groups from all over the state as well as other VCU organizations. There will be free food, fun and fellowship. Anointed to Dance at VCU is comprised of student and staff at VCU.
Faculty Recital: Piano Trio
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at 3 p.m.
The Department of Music presents a Piano Trio Faculty Recital in the W.E. Singleton Center for Performing Arts, Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall. This piano trio features Jocelyn Adelman, violin, Dana McComb, cello, and Michelle Huang, piano. Admission is free.

'UTSAV-2017'
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Tiranga Indian Nationals at VCU welcomes the VCU community to "UTSAV-2017" to celebrate the "Festival of Light" in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms A-B. Attendees will experience a glimpse of exotic Indian culture with delicious Indian food, music and dance performances. Additional attractions include liquid nitrogen ice cream, a fashion show and exciting prizes. All are welcome to the organization's biggest event.
'A True Wonder Woman and her Superhero Husband with ALS'
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Jewish Life at VCU presents a talk by a modern-day wonder woman, Dina Hurwitz, at Chabad of Virginia, 212 N. Gaskins Rd. Hurwitz's husband, Yitzi, battles the devastating disease ALS, and she will share her powerful story of how she, her husband and their seven young children maintain a meaningful relationship despite Yitzi's condition. Scott Vota, D.O., chairman, Department of Neurology, VCU Health, will share about ALS and current medical advancements. The evening will feature music and elegant desserts.

Important: Upcoming RamRide Impacts, Oct. 22-27
A major utilities project taking place on 11th Street between Broad and E. Marshall streets will impact RamRide routes from Sunday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 27. RamRide passengers should expect delays throughout the week due to increased traffic near these areas. Additionally, the Sanger Hall stop will close at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, and will re-open at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. During this closure, passengers should proceed to the alternate stops listed at http://go.vcu.edu/_hl4

Virginia Communications Hall of Fame Seeks Nominees for 2018
The Virginia Communications Hall of Fame is seeking nominees for its 2018 class of inductees. The Hall of Fame inducts and honors people who have made outstanding long-term contributions in the field of communications and who were either born in Virginia or born elsewhere and became distinctively identified with Virginia.

Fall Block Ticket Sales
The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and the National Panhellenic Council at VCU announce ticket sales for the 32nd annual Fall Block Step Show have begun. Tickets can be purchased at the Altria Theater box office or by visiting the website below. Ticket prices are $18 or $15 for students. The show is general admission.

2018 HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Development Program: Accepting Applications
The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs accepts applications for its HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Development Program. The HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Development Program is a five-month leadership development experience for current and emerging women leaders who are committed to investing in themselves and their organizations. The application deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 1.

The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR) is a group of twins and their families who are willing to consider taking part in twin-based, health-related research.
