The health psychology graduate program in the Department of Psychology hosts a moderated question-and-answer panel in the White House, basement classroom. This event is sponsored by the APA Division 38 Society for Health Psychology. The panel members will share what led them to the field, what they currently do, how they prepared as an undergraduate student and to talk about health psych career options.

United2Heal at VCU, a humanitarian aid organization that collects surplus medical supplies and ships them to areas in need, invites students to a free social at Jumpology, 10087 Brook Rd., Glen Allen. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a free long-sleeved shirt. U2H will provide transportation from the Commons loop at 6:15 p.m. This free event is a great way to de-stress before exams.

MEDLIFE at VCU collaborates with Be the Match on Campus to host a Be the Match bone marrow drive in the University Student Commons, near the Commons Theater. Students may join the bone marrow registry to help a greater cause. Joining the registry takes no more than five minutes and can be done in between classes.

The Center for Human-Animal Interaction holds 2018 Dogs on Call calendar sales on the MCV Campus in the Learning Center, first floor of Main Hospital. All proceeds support the Dogs on Call and The Center for Human-Animal Interaction and will help therapy dogs continue to spread joy to patients, students and staff.

The guest speaker, Kimberly Jarrelle, will present her lecture titled, "Nursing Compassion and Innovations: Improving Outcomes for Mothers and Babies After a Cesarean Section." This presentation describes an intervention from idea to implementation in hospitals all over the U.S., where three nurses invented a skin to skin surgical cesarean section drape which gives mom and baby the opportunity for immediate skin to skin contact in an operating room while maintaining the sterile field.
