The History Department holds its semi-annual course fair at 811 S. Cathedral Place. This "open house-style" event showcases sample syllabi for all history courses offered during intercession and spring 2018. Students can receive advising and career guidance, learn about student organizations, internships, study-abroad and scholarships. All are welcome, especially students interested in the major, minor or graduate programs.

VCU Master Site Plan: Provide Input at Informal Session

VCU has launched a new Master Site Plan, which will guide development for the next decade, and invites the VCU community to provide input at an informal session in the McGlothlin Medical Education Center, Second Floor Lobby by the bridge to Main Hospital OR in the Larrick Student Center Lobby.

'The People's Debate: Tackling State and National Issues with Your Questions'
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs holds a discussion on issues facing the state and nation today at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts. L. Douglas Wilder, 66th Governor of Virginia, and Robert D. Holsworth, Ph.D., noted political analyst, will lead the discussion. International Education Week Film Screening: 'To Live'
7:30 p.m.
In celebration of the upcoming International Education Week, the Global Education Office presents "To Live," the first in a three-part film series, in the University Student Commons Theater. Banned in China, this award-winning film captures the struggles and tragedies of an impoverished Chinese family, spanning the 1940s Chinese civil war through the cultural revolution of the '60s and '70s. The screening will be followed by discussion.

Deadline Extended: Sixth Annual Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium: Call for Abstracts and Emerging Leader Nominations
The VCU Center for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care has extended the submission date for the sixth annual Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium, "Collaborating to Close Gaps," until the close of business on Friday, Nov. 10. Abstract submissions are invited for oral presentations, workshops and posters that showcase interprofessional education, practice or scholarship (rampages.us/ipe-symposium/abstracts). Breast Cancer Survivor Study Invitation
Many breast cancer survivors have difficulty taking their hormonal medication as recommended and we would like to find out why. If you are a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed at least 2 years ago, you stopped taking your hormonal medication before the 5 year end date, and English is your first language, we would like to invite you to be a participant in a 1.5 hour focus group. Compensation will be offered. VCU IRB Approval No. HM20009228.
