The guest speaker, Kimberly Jarrelle, will present her lecture titled, "Nursing Compassion and Innovations: Improving Outcomes for Mothers and Babies After a Cesarean Section." This presentation describes an intervention from idea to implementation in hospitals all over the U.S., where three nurses invented a skin to skin surgical cesarean section drape which gives mom and baby the opportunity for immediate skin to skin contact in an operating room while maintaining the sterile field. On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Campus Connector will operate from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. From Nov. 23-25, the Connector will not be in operation. It will resume its normal service schedule on Sunday, Nov. 26. The A Lot, I Lot, M Lot and R Lot routes will not be serviced on Thursday, Nov. 23 or Friday, Nov. 24. Normal service to these lots will resume on Monday, Nov. 27. A Lot, I Lot, M Lot, R Lot, W Deck and K Deck employee subscribers will be permitted to park in the N Deck or 8th Street Deck on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.

VCU Globe is currently accepting applications for the Faculty Fellows Program. Applications from faculty in a wide variety of academic disciplines are encouraged. Eligible applicants hold full-time appointments in their disciplines, work as adjunct faculty at VCU or represent a Richmond-area community partner.
