'1000 Crane Marathon'
12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc. and the Japanese Student Association at VCU present "1000 Crane Marathon Project" in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballroom B. Participants will fold origami cranes, play traditional Japanese activities and enjoy free food. All cranes will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU to instill hope for children.
'Substance Use with Co-occurring Mental Health'
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
COBE and The Well present Georgia Rosenblatt, VCU's Motivate Clinic and The Family Education Program, for a presentation on "Substance Use with Co-occurring Mental Health: Strategies to Address Complex Cases" at the VCU Motivate Clinic, 501 N. 2nd St. The group is a collaborative effort that provides quality education and support to families of people struggling with substance use disorders. The group meets every Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Motivate Clinic.

Third Annual 'Turkey Bowl'
Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at 1 p.m.
Medical Student Athletic Club invites the VCU community to participate in the third annual "Turkey Bowl" at the Cary Street Field. The co-ed event will be sponsored by Chick-fil-A and will feature prizes for the winning team and T-shirts for participants. 'Nursing Compassion and Innovations: Improving Outcomes for Mothers and Babies After a Cesarean Section'
Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 from noon to 2 p.m.
The Langston Center for Quality, Safety and Innovation invites the VCU community to the Feierstein Presentation in the School of Nursing, Room 2001B. The guest speaker, Kimberly Jarrelle, will present her lecture titled, "Nursing Compassion and Innovations: Improving Outcomes for Mothers and Babies After a Cesarean Section." This presentation describes an intervention from idea to implementation in hospitals all over the U.S., where three nurses invented a skin to skin surgical cesarean section drape which gives mom and baby the opportunity for immediate skin to skin contact in an operating room while maintaining the sterile field. Lunch and discussion will take place after the presentation for those who register. To register, visit the website below.

RamRide: Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Campus Connector will operate from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. From Nov. 23-25, the Connector will not be in operation. It will resume its normal service schedule on Sunday, Nov. 26. The A Lot, I Lot, M Lot and R Lot routes will not be serviced on Thursday, Nov. 23 or Friday, Nov. 24. Normal service to these lots will resume on Monday, Nov. 27. A Lot, I Lot, M Lot, R Lot, W Deck and K Deck employee subscribers will be permitted to park in the N Deck or 8th Street Deck on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.

Spring 2018 Student Parking Sales
VCU Parking and Transportation announces that spring 2018 parking sales for all housing permits and MCV Campus commuter permits will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 a.m. Monroe Park Campus commuter permits will go on sale at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Students may access the parking portal by visiting the website below and clicking on the yellow "Manage my Account" button, located in the top right-hand corner. All student parking permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Donation Drive for Hurricane Relief
The Foundation for the International Medical Relief of Children holds a donation drive for hurricane relief in Nicaragua in the University Student Commons, Information Desk. Those would like to donate extra sheets, towels, cutlery, school supplies and personal hygiene items can stop by the Commons information desk until the start of Thanksgiving break.
