New RamSafe App Launches Dec. 26
On Tuesday, Dec. 26, the existing RamSafe user application will change. VCU faculty, staff and students will be able to access the new app and place ride requests through the VCU Mobile app, ramsafe.vcu.edu or by calling 828-SAFE (7233). Users who have previously downloaded the RideCell application to their mobile device should access the new RamSafe app through the VCU Mobile app, beginning on Dec. 26. All users will be prompted to set up a profile upon the first time logging in to the new application.
In addition to a brand new interface, updated user features will include enhanced bus tracking information and real time arrival estimates.
For ADA assistance, users may contact 828-SAFE (7233). Questions or concerns regarding the new RamSafe app can be sent to ramsafe@vcu.edu.
VCU faculty, staff and students are encouraged to use RamSafe for a safe ride when traveling to on-campus locations and nearby residences and buildings. To learn more about the service, visit go.vcu.edu/ramsafe.

VCUDine: Swipe Exchange at Chili’s at VCU

VCUDine hosts a swipe exchange at Chili's at VCU from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18. Dining plan holders may exchange one swipe for any of the following menu items: the chipotle chicken fresh mex bowl, the oldtimer burger (black bean burger available) or chicken cajun pasta. Offer valid on takeout orders only. Substitutions or additional items ordered will be charged separately.

VCU Police: Winter Break Safety Reminder
The VCU Police Department encourages all students, faculty and staff members to lock doors and windows in residence hall rooms, houses, apartments and offices before leaving campus. Please lock valuable items in a secure space, or take them with you, prior to leaving for winter break. If you have questions about securing on or off-campus rooms prior to break, email VCU Police at crimeprevreq@vcu.edu or call (804) 828-1196 and ask for the Crime Prevention team.

RamSafe Service During Winter Break
RamSafe will operate on its normal service schedule, 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., throughout the winter break, with the exception of Saturday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 25. On these days, RamSafe will operate from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
VCU Recreational Sports Children's Swim Lessons
VCU Recreational Sports offers swim lessons for children during the spring semester. Parent/child lessons are for children between the ages of six months to three years old; preschool lessons are for children ages three to five; youth lessons are for children six and up. Registration will end on Friday, Jan. 26, or Monday, Jan. 29, depending on the program.
