The Wildlife Journal Club invites the VCU community to a movie night in Cabell Library, Room 201e. The "Planet Earth II: Grasslands" episode will be screened.
VCU Music's Holiday Gala
7 p.m.
VCU Music presents its annual Holiday Gala in the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall. This holiday concert will benefit The Doorways, formerly Richmond's Hospital Hospitality House, and will feature VCU's Jazz Orchestra II, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Commonwealth Singers, the Guitar Ensembles and other VCU ensembles. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under.

Chili’s at VCU Hosts Official Men’s Basketball Away Game Watch Parties
Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at 3 p.m.
Chili's at VCU hosts the official Men's Basketball watch party as they take on Seton Hall. Fans can catch the HAVOC on each of Chilis' nine TVs and take advantage of game-day specials including the $5 black and gold burger. Attendees are encouraged to wear VCU gear for free giveaways and prizes. Limited free parking will be available to Chili's customers across the street in the JL Lot. 'Dreams of Troy' Book Signing
Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The MCV Foundation presents Richard P. Wenzel, M.D., professor emeritus and former chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine, VCU School of Medicine, hosting a book signing for his newly released novel, "Dreams of Troy" at the MCV Foundation, 1228 E. Broad St. "Dreams of Troy" is the second book in Wenzel's "Terror Trifecta" series, which follows the work of three renowned experts who meet at ground zero of the world's most complex terror plots. Wenzel is the former president of MCV Physicians.

'Faculty Grade-In'
Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence and the School of Social Work invite faculty to participate in the inaugural "Faculty Grade-In" in the Academic Learning Commons, Room 4100. Attendees can complete final grading and swap grading tips with fellow faculty across the university in a comfortable and collaborative space.

VCU RamBikes Rental Location Moving
VCU's RamBikes bicycles will be moved from Cabell and Tompkins-McCaw libraries during winter break. The final day patrons can borrow RamBikes from VCU Libraries is Friday, Dec. 8. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 3, users can borrow bikes from the RamBikes shop, located at 201 N. Belvidere St. Rentals are free for students, faculty and staff and the checkout period will be 72 hours. Rental hours starting Jan. 3 will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
VCU Recreational Sports: New Equipment Checkout Location
The Cary Street Gym has a new location for checking out equipment, located in the old Intramural Sports office across from the basketball courts. All available equipment is free for day use for students and VCU Recreational Sports members and includes table tennis paddles, table tennis balls, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks.
