Affordable Textbook Session for Faculty

During this one-hour session, attendees will learn about textbook costs and open textbooks as a quality and affordable alternative. After the workshop, participants will be asked to write a short review to benefit other faculty considering the adoption of open textbooks. Attendees can apply to be considered for a $200 professional development stipend for their participation and written review. Stipends will be transferred to faculty departments for disbursement. New RamSafe App

The RamSafe user application was recently changed. Users can now download the new app through any Android or iOS app store. Requests will continue to be accepted through VCU Mobile, ramsafe.vcu.edu and 828-SAFE. Users will receive notifications through the app and/or on their mobile device when their assigned driver is one block away and when they arrive. To learn more about the other new app features and instructions for using the new app, visit the website below.

RamSafe Cross-Campus Hours Updated

Effective Monday, Jan. 15, RamSafe will service fall and spring semester cross-campus requests Monday through Friday, from midnight to 6 a.m., with calls accepted until 5:45 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday, cross-campus requests will be serviced from midnight to 7:30 a.m., with calls accepted until 7:15 a.m. During the summer semester, cross-campus requests will be serviced Monday through Friday, from 7 p.m. to 6:45 a.m., with calls accepted until 6:30 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with calls taken until 7:15 a.m.
