VCU Recreational Sports will offer Project Positive Yoga for EveryBODY in the Cary Street Gym Group Ex Studio. This mindful yoga practice will allow students to draw their attention and focus inward, as they focus on what the amazing things our bodies are capable of. Focusing on restorative and intentional movement, students of all levels are welcome. Drop in only, no registration required.

Chili’s at VCU Hosts Official Men’s Basketball Away Game Watch Party
Saturday, Mar. 3, 2018 at 2 p.m.
Chili's at VCU hosts the official Men's Basketball watch party as they take on Fordham. Fans can catch the HAVOC live on each of Chilis' nine TVs and take advantage of specials including the $5 game-day burger. Attendees are encouraged to wear VCU gear for free giveaways and prizes. Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences invites the VCU community to the library's Special Collections and Archives Reading Room to view a traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine, "Pick Your Poison: Intoxicating Pleasures & Medical Prescriptions," during library open hours, March 5 until April 14. The exhibit explores changing definitions of some of our most potent drugs, from medical miracle to social menace.

The conference theme is "The Ongoing Struggle: On Confronting White Neo-Nationalism, 21st Century Racisms, and Settler Colonialism." Highlights include a "How to Community Organize" workshop with the Richmond NAACP at West Grace Street Student Housing-North, Room 1030J, 3-5 p.m. March 8; an opening reception at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center, 122 West Leigh St., 6-8 p.m. March 8; and keynote speaker Christy Coleman at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave, 6 p.m. March 9.

Congressional Candidates Meet & Greet

VCU College Republicans welcome the VCU community to meet the GOP candidates running for Congress in West Grace Street Student Housing - North, first floor. There will be two Senatorial candidates and three House of Representatives candidates for the 4th Congressional District. Students can network with these candidates to be able to obtain a volunteer position or internship on an upcoming campaign of their choice.

Tau Beta Pi 'Pi Day'

Tau Beta Pi invites the VCU community to "Pi Day" in the Engineering West Hall Courtyard. Games and competitions start at 2 p.m. in the Upper Courtyard, culminating in the Pie-A-Professor event at 3:14 p.m. You can vote for which professor from the four departments (BME, CLSE, ECE, and MNE) to be pied by donating money in the donation cans that will be placed in the department offices. All money donated will go to charity.

CANCELED: A conversation with His Excellency Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry

Due to a last minute change in the event ambassador's schedule, the Global Education Office has canceled a "Conversation with His Excellency Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the United States" originally scheduled for Friday, Mar. 16. The office is working to reschedule this event for another date in the near future, and will update the VCU community as plans take shape.

EarthHacks at VCU hosts an event at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2500 W Broad St., for students of all majors to develop solutions to real-world environmental challenges. Multidisciplinary teams will have 24 hours to learn from mentors, brainstorm and generate solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. Depending upon the problem, proposed solutions can involve hardware, software, art, text and other materials.

Campus Card Services Upgrade Scheduled, March 6-8
Description: Campus Card Services will be performing a system upgrade to the card application and building access systems March 6-8, 2018. RamBucks, Meal and other SVC plans will not be available for payment. Card production, AdminWeb, RamsLaundry, myVCUCard.com, Attendance Monitor, and mobile reader services will not be available. All building access and schedule changes should be submitted by noon on Monday, March 5. Any requests received after this time will not be processed until Thursday, March 8.
