Study Abroad Fall Fair
Thursday, Sep. 27, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
VCU's Global Education Office will host a Study Abroad Fall Fair on the University Student Commons Plaza. Ten students will receive a $500 study abroad award. Program providers, students who have studied abroad and representatives from VCU offices that assist with the process, including Education Abroad, National Scholarship Office and Career Services, will attend.

OCPE Personal and Professional Development Programs
The VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education offers a variety of on-campus and online learning opportunities for VCU faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members. Continuing education is available in addiction studies, craft beer, cultural competency and languages, disability support services, event planning, paralegal studies, play therapy training and test preparation for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT and ACT. Noncredit online courses and certificates in customer service, sales, self-publishing, computer skills, workplace topics, Google tools and podcasting are also offered.

Faculty Learning Community Opportunity: Integrating Debate Techniques in the Classroom
The VCU Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, in collaboration with the VCU Service-Learning Office and the James Madison University's Debate Across the Curriculum Initiative, invites course instructors to apply to participate in a funded faculty learning community during the 2018-19 year. Participants will receive $500 in professional development funds. Applications are due Aug. 31.

VCU Rec Sports Family Swim/Hours
VCU Recreational Sports will hold family swim and family hours during the fall semester from 5 to 7:30 p.m. weekdays at the Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center. Family hours will be on Saturdays and Sundays at all facilities. Family swim and hours are available only for members or guests.
