Volunteers Needed for Study Evaluating Lactate Effects on White Blood Cells

The VCU Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department is seeking male and female volunteers ages 18-30 to participate in a research investigation into the effects of lactate on white blood cells. Volunteers will receive a free assessment of cardiovascular fitness, target heart ranges, estimated caloric expenditure and a body composition measurement. Mindful Mondays at The Well

Twenty-minute mindfulness sessions are held at noon on Mondays at the Wellness Resource Center, 815 S. Cathedral Place. All are welcome, but space is limited. A different mindfulness strategy is practiced each week to help manage stress.

Participants Sought for PTSD Study

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD are sought for a study to examine the effect of PTSD symptoms on blood vessel function at rest and during exercise. Participants will be compensated. The study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre, 1020 W. Grace St.
