Evelyn Waring from the Virginia Poison Center will educate us on how to identify and avoid Virginia’s poisonous snakes, and provide information about current recommendations for the treatment of snake bites. All it takes is a simple mouth swab to join the marrow donor registry and possibly save a life. Participants are welcome to join the picnic event for an afternoon of fun and friendship. RamSafe Service during Exams

From April 30 to May 11, RamSafe will run a special fixed route, in addition to its normal service operations, to enhance service for students during the busy final exam period. Departing approximately every 10-15 minutes, two RamSafe shuttles will travel in a loop from Cabell Library to several nearby VCU residence halls, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Normal service will be available for those with destinations outside of the fixed route. Shuttle tracking will be available on the VCU Transloc app.

VCU Recreational Sports Fitness Personal Training

VCU Rec Sports Fitness offers 1-on-1 training sessions and partner training sessions in 3, 6, 12 and 18 session packages. You will be guided through an exercise program customized to meet your needs and specific goals. Lose weight, build muscle, learn how to exercise on your own, break a plateau, improve flexibility or all of the above with trainers. A 90-minute Basic Fitness Assessment and Consultation is also available.

VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program Rice Center Nature Camp

VCU Recreational Sports Rice Rivers Nature Camp offers a day camp for children ages 9 -12. There will be a variety of activities each day, including stream science, canoeing along the James River and the recently restored Kimages Creek. A shuttle from VCU campus will be available if needed. Choose between three sessions: June 25 - 29, July 16 - 20 or July 30 - August 3.
