Global Medical Training at VCU and Virginia Blood Services are holding a blood drive outside of Shafer Court Dining Center. Free t-shirts will be given to every donor. Make an appointment online or walk in at any time. Every donation saves three lives.
Qatar Leadership Exchange Information Session
5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Qatar Leadership Exchange, the cross-cultural leadership development program, sponsored by the Student Government Association and Division of Student Affairs, holds an information session in the University Student Commons, Rams Lounge. Student leaders selected to participate in the program will travel to Doha, Qatar, in Oct. 2018. Open to all students of every level on both campuses. VCU’s Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR) presents "Seeing Double: Take a Spin with Your Twin Contest" during the Southern Women's Show, Richmond Raceway Complex 600 E Laburnum Ave Richmond, VA. VCU Poster Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creativity: Abstracts Accepted
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) accepts abstracts from students for the annual VCU Poster Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creativity, part of VCU Student Research Weeks. This is an opportunity for students to present research endeavors and creative scholarship. Presentations may be for completed research projects, completed papers or research in progress. Poster abstracts will be accepted until Thursday, March 22.

Announcing Additional Undergraduate Research Fellowships for Community-Engaged Research
New fellowship opportunities are available in the area of community-engaged research. Deadline for proposals is March 10, 2018. The Division of Community Engagement will fund undergraduate community-engaged research fellowship awards for research projects mentored by VCU faculty and carried out in collaboration with a community partner. Proposals for this fellowship should include a community-engaged research project that creates and disseminates knowledge.

Check your VCU email for the Diverse Learning Environments Survey and enter to win prizes
VCU launched the Diverse Learning Environments Campus Climate Survey, which runs now through April 27. Results will inform the university’s plans related to campus diversity initiatives. Students who participate could win one of two grand prizes for a free semester of on-campus parking or one of 100, $10 Starbucks gift cards. RamAway: Accepting Reservations Through March 1
RamAway is currently accepting reservations until Thursday, March 1, for rides through Sunday, March 11. RamAway provides free transportation for faculty, staff and students during designated holidays and semester breaks to and/or from the Richmond International Airport, Greyhound Bus Station and Amtrack at Main Street Station and Staples Mill Road. 2018 VCU Tech Fair
VCU Technology Services and VCU Libraries present the 2018 VCU Tech Fair from Tuesday, April 10, in the Cabell Library Lecture Hall, Room 303, and Wednesday, April 11, at the Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences. Both days feature "hands-on" demos, presentations, free light lunch and giveaways, courtesy of vendor contributors. Attend information sessions to be entered into special prize drawings.

VCU Wellness Block Party: Volunteers Needed
The Student Government Association seeks volunteers for the 11th annual Wellness Block Party on Saturday, March 24, from 1-4 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, 1000 Mosby St. During the fair, health screenings will be performed and there will be fun activities for the community to raise awareness for healthy choices and to provide health education.
