VCU Recreational Sports hosts a rock climbing weekend, April 14-15. Enjoy a beautiful weekend climbing rocky crags away from the city in one of the most famous climbing areas in North America. OAP trip leaders will teach you basic climbing techniques, equipment usage and belaying techniques in a safe and trusting environment. This rock climbing and camping adventure is designed for climbers of all abilities and will help you gain confidence in your skills. Register by April 10.

The VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program hosts a Swiftwater Rescue workshop on April 14-15, which teaches recognition and avoidance of common river hazards, execution of self-rescue techniques and rescue techniques for paddlers in distress. Scenarios will provide an opportunity for participants to practice their skills both individually and within a team/group context. Registration ends April 10.
