How to Create a Research Poster

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program will host a poster workshop session in Hibbs Hall, Room 327. The workshop will cover some of the technical aspects of poster creation from design to printing. Book talk on 'The Richmond Crusade for Voters'

VCU Libraries hosts Kimberly Matthews, Ph.D., presenting her book, "The Richmond Crusade for Voters," in James Branch Cabell Library, Room 250. Matthews will discuss the vibrant history of the Richmond Crusade for Voters, an activist group founded in 1956 to oppose Massive Resistance and voter suppression, and what the organization means to Richmond. A book-signing will follow the talk.

26th VCU and University of Richmond French Film Festival

Librarians Yuki Hibben and Andrea Kohashi will share highlights from the 4,000-piece collection. iCubed Scholar MK Abadoo's 'Octavia's Brood: Riding the Ox Home'

VCU Dance presents "Octavia's Brood: Riding the Ox Home," an original work by iCubed scholar MK Abadoo, March 23 and 24 at the Grace Street Theater, 934 W. Grace St. Abadoo has crafted an immersive dance work inspired by the envisioning of science fiction writer Octavia Butler and freedom fighter, Harriet Tubman, and drawing from Contemporary, West African and Funk dance genres to explore story-telling from the perspectives of women of the African diaspora. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 students.

Students are encouraged to go to eServices to check whether their professors submitted a midterm alert grade for one or more classes. Log on to Student eServices at the URL below. If you have received a midterm alert grade indicating unsatisfactory academic progress, see your instructor or academic adviser. The last day to withdraw from classes is March 23.

Feminine Hygiene Drive for Homeless Women
VCU student organizations Sisters and Stethoscopes and Queen In You collaborate for a feminine hygiene drive from March 12-23 in the first floor lobbies of the following residence halls : Ackell, Brandt, The Honors College, Grace and Broad, Johnson, Rhoads, West Grace Student Housing-North, West Grace Street Student Housing-South and Cary and Belvidere. Acceptable donations are any new and unopened pads, tampons, underwear and sanitary wipes.
