VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program Bicycle Tour Week

The VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program will host a bicycle tour along the C&O Canal and Great Allegheny Passage May 12-20. This van-supported bicycle tour will start in Washington DC and end in Pittsburgh. The cost will be $395 for students and $445 for faculty/staff, and this price includes food, transportation, and equipment. Accepting applications: 2018 Faculty Development Seminar | Lebanon

The Global Education Office accepts applications for the 2018 Faculty Development Seminar through Friday, April 27. Now in its fifth year, the seminar enables faculty to enrich the global dimensions of their teaching, research and community engagement through cultural immersion and connections with counterparts abroad. This year’s seminar destination is Lebanon and the program will take place June 20 - July 2, 2018. Awards will be announced no later than Monday, May 7.

Open enrollment for 2018-2019 Commonwealth of Virginia employee health coverage and flexible spending accounts takes place from May 1 through May 15, 2018. New 2018 election forms and other details are available at the URL below. Only paper enrollment forms can be accepted between May 1 - May 15 and must be received by VCU HR by the close of business on May 15, 2018. Elections take effect July 1, 2018 for the plan year that runs from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining Estrogen and Blood Vessel Function

We are seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years, females and males, to participate in a study examining the effect of estrogen on blood vessel function at rest and during exercise. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

Upcoming Closures to Cabell Library RamRide stop

On April 24, the Campus Connector will be unable to service Cabell Library stop from 7:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Additionally this route will be altered. Passengers should use the "Special Event" route on Transloc to track the status of the Connector in real time. On May 1, the Cabell Library stop will close at 12 p.m. On May 16 and May 23, the stop will close from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Passengers should board at Main & Laurel during these closures.
