Shopping, Dining and Entertainment Survey

As a part of the ONE VCU Master Plan, the University community is invited and encouraged to voice your opinion on shopping, dining and entertainment options available on both the Monroe Park and MCV campus through an online survey.

The survey should take 5-10 minutes and is available online from April 19 to May 3. Individuals who complete the survey can choose to have their name placed in a raffle for one of five $50 Amazon gift cards. Many thanks for taking the time and accepting the opportunity to become a part of the ONE VCU Master Planning process.

Possible Campus Connector Impacts on April 20

Due to the large crowds expected on Capitol Square on April 20, there may be service interruptions to the Campus Connector at the 7th Street, Franklin Street and One Capitol Square stops. If crowds do impede service, these stops may be closed, and the Campus Connector may travel an alternative route north along 7th Street to bypass traffic. Passengers are encouraged to monitor real time status information for the Connector, including impacts to service, at vcu.transloc.com or through the VCU Mobile app.

VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program Rice Center Nature Camp

The VCU Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Program is partnering with the Rice Rivers Center to host the Rice Rivers Nature Camp, a day camp for children ages 9-12. There will be a variety of activities each day, including stream science, canoeing along the James River and the recently restored Kimages Creek. Throughout the week participants will be joined by experts from the VCU Prothonotary Warbler research team and the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program. A shuttle from VCU campus will be available if needed. Three sessions are available: June 25-29, July 16-20 or July 30-August 3.

Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Exercise

This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of PTSD symptoms on blood vessel function at rest and during exercise. Participants will be compensated for their time. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
