Chili’s at VCU Hosts A-10 Tournament Watch Party
12 p.m.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to cheer on the Rams this Thursday, March 8 at noon at Chili’s (355 W. Cary Street) as VCU Men’s Basketball takes on Dayton in round one of the A-10 Tournament. Game-day specials include the $5 black and gold burger and half-off select appetizers. Free VCU spirit giveaways for attendees. Limited free parking available to Chili’s customers across the street in JL lot.

Film Screening: 'In Defense of Food'
12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m.
VCU Libraries and University Student Commons and Activities invite the VCU community to bring their lunch to a film screening and discussion of “In Defense of Food” in the TML Learning Center at Hunton Student Center, Room 209. In this documentary, Michael Pollan addresses one of the most urgent questions of our time: What should I eat to be healthy? Discussion following the screening will be lead by Emily Maines, R.D., L.D., VCU Health Clinical Services.

Food Security Focus Group

The RamPantry is holding a focus group for students to discuss food security issues in the University Student Commons, Metro Room. Students will discuss issues such as: Do you have enough to eat? Do you have access to healthy options? Are there foods you would like to fit into your diet, but cannot? Snacks provided.

VCU Recreational Sports Aquatics Lifeguard Re-certification
VCU Recreational Sports Aquatics offers an American Red Cross Lifeguard Re-certification class, March 23-35 at Cary Street Gym. This is only open to those with a current American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certifications. Registration ends on March 22.
