VCU hosts the 46th Annual Conference of the Association for Ethnic Studies March 8-10. The conference theme is "The Ongoing Struggle: On Confronting White Neo-Nationalism, 21st Century Racisms, and Settler Colonialism." Highlights include a "How to Community Organize" workshop with the Richmond NAACP at West Grace Street Student Housing-North, Room 1030J, 3-5 p.m. March 8; an opening reception at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center, 122 West Leigh St., 6-8 p.m. March 8; and keynote speaker Christy Coleman at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave, 6 p.m. March 9.

'Role of the Investigational Drug Service (IDS) in the Management of Investigational Drugs'
Friday, Mar. 9, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The VCU Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research, along with Massey Cancer Center, present at the Central Virginia SoCRA Chapter Meeting, "The Role of the Investigational (IDS) in the Management of Investigational Drugs." Participants will learn the basic components of managing the accountability, understanding the regulatory framework, and role of IDS in the management of investigational drugs.

VCU Libraries' Innovative Media team hosts "Tech Tuesdays: Experience Virtual Reality" at Tompkins-McCaw Library, Room 2-010. Participants can play around with headsets that take you to immersive new worlds.

Campus Card Services Upgrade Scheduled, March 6-8
Description: Campus Card Services will be performing a system upgrade to the card application and building access systems March 6-8, 2018. RamBucks, Meal and other SVC plans will not be available for payment. Card production, AdminWeb, RamsLaundry, myVCUCard.com, Attendance Monitor, and mobile reader services will not be available. All building access and schedule changes should be submitted by noon on Monday, March 5. Any requests received after this time will not be processed until Thursday, March 8.

Campus Connector and RamSafe Service during Spring Break
During spring break, the Campus Connector will operate on a reduced schedule. From Monday, March 5 to Friday, March 9, the Campus Connector will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturday, March 10, there will be no Connector service. Normal service will resume on Sunday, March 11. RamSafe will provide cross-campus requests from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. while the Campus Connector is not in service.

VCU Recreational Sports Massage Services
VCU Recreational Sports has added massage services to the Wellness program, offering table massages to clients at Cary Street Gym and the MCV Campus Recreation Center. Licensed Massage Therapists will customize the massage based on the individual's needs. Student organizations or departments may request chair massage (mobile) for a fee. Registration is now open for the months of March and April.
