The Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Tompkins-McCaw Library present their next lunch research seminar, “Accelerating research dissemination with preprints,” in Tompkins-McCaw Library, Room 2-010. Hillary Miller, scholarly communications outreach librarian, and Nina Exner, associate professor and research data librarian, will discuss preprints and how they can best be used to benefit your research. ICA 'Artist's Choice: Words in/and Sounds'

VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art launches the monthly series "Artist's Choice" with artist Stephen Vitiello and poet Edwin Torres at the ICA, 601 W. Broad St. Torres is one of many voices in Vitiello’s site-specific sound installation, "whether there was a bell or whether I knocked." The evening will feature a reading by Torres, a short joint performance by Torres and Vitiello and a book signing. Free RSVP required at the URL below.

Deadline for Transition From Turning Technologies
Beginning May 16, 2018, Turning Technologies will no longer be the supported Student Response System for VCU. Final grading for Spring 2018
Grading for Spring 2018 has begun. Grade sheets are available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Tuesday May 15, at which time grading will be turned off. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned in the Class Schedule. If you do not see one of your grade sheets, contact your department's course scheduling representative.
VCU Recreational Sports Free Week of Functional Fitness Training
VCU Recreational Sports Fitness will offer free Small Group Training classes at Cary Street Gym during the week of May 14-18. We will offer Bootcamp, Women’s Bootcamp and Functional Fitness Training. Registration will be drop-in only.

VCU Recreational Sports Summer Hours Beginning May 12
VCU Recreational Sports summer hours begin Saturday, May 12. The Cary Street Gym will be open Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Complete hours for all facilities are available at the URL below.

Mike Rhoades Basketball Camp
Registration is open for the Mike Rhoades basketball camps, to be held during several dates this summer at the VCU Siegel Center. Dates are June 18-22; June 25-29; July 9-13; and July 30-August 3. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Friday dismissal is at 3 p.m. Most camp sessions will accommodate grades 2-12. Boys and girls are welcome to participate. Cost of camp is $325 per session and includes the camper's lunch each day, a camp T-shirt and camp basketball.

AIRS Annual Update for Researchers Opened May 10
The Activity and Interest Reporting System (AIRS), used to assess for conflict of interest in research, is now open for the Financial Interest Report (FIR) annual update. An annual update is due for all faculty, staff and student researchers indicated as 'COI Investigators’ even if you recently updated your FIR or have no changes to make. All proposals and protocols require an updated FIR in order to move forward.
