Respirator Use at VCU

Safety and Risk Management ask all at VCU who purchase or use a resirator to first review the VCU Respiratory Protection Program (see the following URL) before purchase or use of a respirator. The use of respirators, including disposable dust masks, that are approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health require compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administrations' Respiratory Protection Program - 29 CFR 1910.134. Respirator use of any type used by faculty, staff, researchers and students must be approved by Environmental Health and Safety - Safety and Risk Management.

Looking for Sedentary, Non-anxious Individuals for Heart Rate Variability Study

Researchers in VCU's Department of Health Behavior Policy want to learn more about the relationship between anxiety, health and mood. Participants in this research study must be between the ages of 18-35 and able to safely participate in physical activity but not currently in an exercise program. Participants will be compensated.

Participants Sought for Study on Hypertension, Vascular Function and Exercise

VCU's Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences is seeking young adults ages 18-35 with high blood pressure to participate in a study examining the impact of hypertension on blood vessel function at rest and during exercise. RamRide Stop to Be Closed

The McGuire Hall stop will be closed due to street closures after 7 p.m. Sept. 10 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The McGuire stop will also be closed after 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 12. The I Lot shuttle will utilize the Sanger Hall stop during these times. Additionally, the I Lot shuttle will be rerouted to bypass the closure.
