'Epidemiology in the 21st Century'

The Division of Epidemiology in VCU's Department of Family Medicine and Population Health hosts Dr. Azadeh Stark, senior lecturer at the University of Texas at Dallas and senior scientist at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Mich., in One Capitol Square, room 644 (sixth floor). He will speak on “Epidemiology in the 21st Century: Opportunities for Multi-Disciplinary Approaches in Addressing the Health Challenges and Needs of Our Population - It Is All About Improving Quality of Life for All of Us!"

Workshop for Science Teachers

VCU's College of Engineering is hosting a four-day workshop for middle and high school science teachers highlighting nuclear energy and radiation. The July 17 through July 21 event, which includes a $75 registration fee, offers lectures, labs, hands-on activities and tours.

VCU Recreational Sports Powerlifting Meet
Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
VCU Recreational Sports is hosting its first Ram Strength Powerlifting Meet at Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St. Judging will be in accordance with USA Powerlifting regulations. An informational session will be held at 5:30 p.m. July 25 in the Cary Street Gym's WET Classroom. Registration is $15 and ends July 29.

MCV Campus Construction Update: 11th Street closed on July 7
Construction on the MCV Campus continues and 11th Street, between Clay Street and Leigh Street, will be closed on Saturday, July 7, between noon and 4 p.m. This time may flex due to unforeseen issues or weather. VCU Recreational Sports Fitness Small Group Training
VCU Recreational Sports Fitness will offer another round of small group training sessions starting Monday, July 9. Sign up for Functional Fitness Training, Women's Bootcamp, Bootcamp and Women on Weights to include an accountability factor for participants.

VCU Recreational Sports Aquatics Children’s Swim Lessons
Sign your child up with VCU Recreational Sports Aquatics Children’s Swim Lessons, in levels of Preschool 1 - Youth 3. Participants will learn basic techniques from floating on their back and blowing bubbles to building stamina and developing the basic strokes. Registration for the next round of Monday-Thursday Children Swim Lessons ends Sunday, July 8.

VCU Recreational Sports Group Exercise July Schedule
VCU Recreational Sports Group Exercise will have a new schedule of classes through from July 27. Check out our website to sign up for classes such as Zumba, HIIT, Pilates and Total Body Conditioning. Classes are free for all VCU students, faculty and staff.
