VCU Police Offer Rape Aggression Defense classes
Monday, Sep. 10, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Registration is now open for the VCU Police Department’s Rape Aggression Defense self-defense program to be held at the department's headquarters, 224 E. Broad St. The training, which consists of three sessions, is open to women. VCU students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Class One will be offered 6-9 p.m. Sept. 10, 12, 17 and 19; Class Two from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 13 and Oct. 20 and Class Three from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 5, 7, 12 and 14. Update: Two RamRide Stops to Be Closed
The Cabell Library stop will be closed from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 9 due to a nearby event. Passengers should use the Main and Laurel RamRide stop during this time. The McGuire Hall stop will be closed due to street closures after 7 p.m. Sept. 10 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The McGuire stop will also be closed after 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 12. The I Lot shuttle will utilize the Sanger Hall stop during these times. Additionally, the I Lot shuttle will be rerouted to bypass the closure.

Street and Lane Closures on MCV Campus: Sept. 7-10
Utility work and construction at the VCU Health Outpatient Facility construction site, at the corner of N. 10th and E. Leigh streets, will affect traffic patterns in the area of the MCV Campus over the next several months. Starting Friday, Sept. 7, after rush hour until the morning of Monday, Sept. 10, construction activities will require the closure of the eastbound travel lane on Leigh Street, between 10th and 11th streets, as well as the closure of the northbound lanes on 11th Street, from Clay to Leigh streets. On Monday, Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m. Dominion will close 11th Street, between Leigh and Clay streets, for approximately five hours.

VCU Leadership Development Program Now Accepting Applications
The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, is accepting applications for the VCU Leadership Development Program. The goal of this 10-month program is to develop current and emerging leaders who represent the academic and administrative units of the University and the VCU Health System. Applications are due Oct. 15.
