Workshop: Virtual Event Management System Training for Requesting a Space at VCU
12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
VCU's Event Services office will hold a workshop on reserving spaces for student organizations and departments. The event, in the Alumni Boardroom, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave., will offer instruction on reserving academic spaces, student center spaces and event outdoor spaces, and the use of Virtual EMS (event management system), VCU's online space reservation portal. No RSVP is necessary. The same workshop will also be offered at the same location at 4 p.m. April 11 and April 18.

VCU's Out of the Darkness Campus Walk
Saturday, Mar. 30, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
VCU's Wellness Resource Center will host a benefit walk to battle suicide and raise awareness about mental health. The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk will begin at The Compass. Proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Register to walk, donate or form a team at the following URL. Representatives from The Well will be tabling from 1-3 p.m. March 29 on the Shafer side of The Compass for those who wish to register for the walk.

2019 VCU Tech Fair

VCU Technology Services and VCU Libraries present the 2019 Tech Fair. The event will be held on April 2 in the Lecture Hall, Room 303, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., and April 3 in Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St. The fair is free to students, faculty and staff. No registration is required. Both days feature hands-on demonstrations, presentations, free light lunch and giveaways, courtesy of vendor contributors. Among the raffle prizes will be an Apple Watch series 4 and DSLR camera.

Park the Judgement and Donation Drive
Wednesday, Apr. 3, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you can’t stand statements that blame sexual assault survivors, consider taking aim at them, literally. Join VCU Police to play darts and hit balloons covered in outdated, victim-blaming language. The event will be in Monroe Park, on the Laurel Street side of the round house. Support organizations from VCU and the City of Richmond will have giveaways, food, music and survivor resource information. VCU Police will also collect toiletries, canned goods, hygiene products, art supplies and other items for local shelters that help survivor of domestic and sexual violence.

'Dirty Looks: Eight Years On'

"Dirty Looks" is a platform for queer film, video and performance that has toured museums and galleries around the country. On its eighth anniversary, the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St., presents "Dirty Looks: Eight Years On," a retrospective program which traces contemporary queer aesthetics through historical works as well as up-and-coming artists and filmmakers.

Bradley, an assistant professor in VCU's Department of Internal Medicine and a member of St. Benedict church, will speak at a luncheon of the Catholic Graduate Student Organization in Room 7-102, James W. and Frances G.
