Graphic Design Panel Discussion

A panel discussion will be presented as part of the Objects and Methods Lecture Series, hosted by VCU's Department of Graphic Design. The event, at the Grace Street Theater, 934 W. Grace St., will feature a discussion about the intersection of archiving, design and knowledge production. The panel will feature Jerome Harris, curator of As Not For; Josh MacPhee of Interference Archive; Tinashe Mushakavanhu of Black Chalk and Co.; and moderator Nontsikelelo Mutiti, assistant professor, graphic design, VCU School of the Arts.

IDEATE Speaker Series: Vida Williams

Vida Williams, innovator in residence at VCU's da Vinci Center, will discuss social and civic innovations. Provocations Performance: Victor S. Haskins

Spring Family Day at Rice Rivers Center
Saturday, Mar. 23, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VCU Recreational Sports' Outdoor Adventure Program's Spring Family Day will be held at the Inger and Walter Rice Center for Environmental Life Sciences, 3800 John Tyler Memorial Highway, Charles City County. The center's summer camps for fourth- through 11th-grade students will be outlined. Day camp programs will be offered for younger students and overnight programs will be available for high-school students. Registration closes March 20.

Virginia Commonwealth University invites you to participate in a research study on two stress-reduction programs. Participants will receive a 14-day smartphone-based stress-reduction course for free. The study includes a lab session before and after the stress reduction course at which participants will fill out brief surveys and complete several brief tasks in an MRI brain scanner.
