'Revive! Reversing an Opioid Overdose with Naloxone'

Rams in Recovery presents a hands-on training session, “Revive! Reversing an Opioid Overdose with Naloxone,” in Room 1004A, VCU's ASPiRE, 835 W. Grace St. Naloxone has no potential for abuse and will be distributed at no cost to each attendee at the end of the program by the Virginia Department of Health.

Workshop: Informed Consent in Clinical Research

Study Abroad Fall Fair

VCU's Global Education Office will host a Study Abroad Fall Fair on the University Student Commons Plaza. Ten students will receive a $500 study abroad award. GRTC Pilot Program
VCU has signed a one-year agreement with the Greater Richmond Transit Company to provide free unlimited transportation access on the Pulse Bus Rapid Transit and regular fixed-route bus service for all VCU students and employees. Students and employees of VCU and VCU Health System, including Virginia Premier, must show a VCU-, VCU Health System- or Virginia Premier-issued ID card to the bus driver upon boarding.

Volunteers Needed for Study Evaluating Lactate Effects on White Blood Cells
The VCU Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department is seeking male and female volunteers ages 18-30 to participate in a research investigation into the effects of lactate on white blood cells. Volunteers will receive a free assessment of cardiovascular fitness, target heart ranges, estimated caloric expenditure and a body composition measurement. The study is conducted within the VCU Exercise Physiology Research Lab at 500 Academic Centre, 1020 W. Grace St. Recruitment is ongoing. For assistance, email francorl@vcu.edu.
