Performance: The La-A Consortium

This performance at the Institute for Contemporary Art, 601 W. Broad St., extends Declaration artist Autumn Knight's ongoing project, The La-A-Consortium (2013–2018). The project envisions an alternate reality where the innovative contributions of African diasporic people are widely recognized as institutional namesakes.

Update: Two RamRide Stops to Be Closed
The Cabell Library stop will be closed from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 9 due to a nearby event. Passengers should use the Main and Laurel RamRide stop during this time. The McGuire Hall stop will be closed due to street closures after 7 p.m. Sept. 10 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The McGuire stop will also be closed after 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 12. The I Lot shuttle will utilize the Sanger Hall stop during these times. Additionally, the I Lot shuttle will be rerouted to bypass the closure.

VCU Health Town Hall Meetings: Oct. 2018
An update on Vision by Design will be offered by Marsha Rappley, M.D., CEO of VCU Health System, and Deborah Davis, CEO of VCU Hospitals and Clinics, when VCU Health holds its town hall meetings at noon-1 p.m. Oct. 16,, 4-5 p.m. Oct. 17 and 8-9 a.m. Oct. 18. All meetings will be held in the auditorium of the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building, 1217 E. Marshall St.

Proposal Deadline Extended for VCU Career Development Day Conference
The deadline has been extended to Sept. 21 for proposal submissions for the Oct. 18 Career Development Day conference for VCU and VCU Health System employees. Open slots are available for 45-minute presentations and 10-minute power sessions for the event, sponsored by VCU Human Resources and the VCU Staff Senate.
