Student Well-Being Initiative on MCV Campus

VCU's Dean of Students Office, University Counseling Services and the Wellness Resource Center are piloting a new student group on the MCV Campus to encourage student mental health and wellness initiatives. The VCU Department of Painting + Printmaking presents a lecture by Fountainhead Fellow Sedrick Chisom in Room 535, Bowe Street Parking Deck. Chisom, a painter and writer, references the racialized idioms of Victorian fantasy illustration and uses the Romantic landscape as a site where the apocalyptic narratives of white supremacy, Christianity and climate change intersect.

December Commencement exercises take place at 10 a.m. on Dec. 8 in the E.J. Wade Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, 1200 W. Broad St. Students participating in the ceremony must wear caps, gowns and hoods. Academic regalia should be purchased at the Barnes & Noble @ VCU on your respective campus. Regalia will be available for sale Oct. 8-Dec. 8 on the MCV Campus and Oct. 9-Dec. 8 on the Monroe Park Campus.
