Singer and pianist Cora Harvey Armstrong will perform a selection of gospel classics. The event at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St., is part of Rashid Johnson's "Monument" installation. Armstrong will also perform at the ICA at 4 p.m. Dec. 22.

Campus Connector Becomes Express Route Jan. 2
VCU's Campus Connector will shift to an express route beginning Jan. 2, serving only James Branch Cabell Library, Sanger Hall and J. Sargeant Reynolds RamRide stops. Students and employees are encouraged to use GRTC’s Pulse and No. 5 routes for travel between the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.

Google Drive Trash Retention Changing
VCU Collaboration Services will adjust Google Drive trash retention on Dec. 17. Documents deleted in Google Drive including Team Drive will be purged from trash and backup after 60 days. Previously, trash remained in Google Drive indefinitely.

Are You 18-25 Years Old and Do You Smoke Cigarettes?
Men and women between the ages of 18-25 who smoke cigarettes are invited to participate in a research study. The project requires five, three-hour laboratory visits. Final Grades for Fall 2018 Due Dec. 20
Grade sheets for Fall 2018 are available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Dec. 20. At that time grading will be turned off. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned in the class schedule. Contact the appropriate departmental course scheduling representative for missing grade sheets.

Translational Research Fellows Application Deadline Is Feb. 15
Applications are being accepted by Feb. 15 for the Translational Research Fellows program. The Center for Public Policy, L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, invites VCU faculty whose research has public policy relevance to apply for the program. Selected fellows work with the center's staff starting in fall 2019 to develop a policy brief and conduct three meetings with state policymakers.

Apply by Jan. 31 for New State Grants To Support Affordable Course Materials
A new pool of statewide funding is available to VCU faculty who want to redesign courses to incorporate affordable and open course materials. The first round of VIVA Course Redesign Grants is open for applications. These $1,000 to $30,000 grants are designed to empower Virginia faculty with the resources and time needed to develop affordable and open materials.
