Black History Museum of Virginia Tour

VCU's Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will sponsor a free guided tour and museum entrance to the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia. The museum, 122 W. Leigh St., seeks to become a permanent repository for visual, oral and written records and artifacts commemorating the lives and accomplishments of blacks in Virginia. Register for the tour at the following URL. Checkin begins at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. The tour will depart from the Commons for the museum at 1:30 p.m.

'Something Wonderful: A Rodgers and Hammerstein Concert'

The VCU Department of Music presents "Something Wonderful: A Rodgers and Hammerstein Concert." The concert will be in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall of the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors, faculty, staff and non-VCU students and $10 for VCU students. The concert will also be presented at 2 p.m. Feb. 3 at the same location.

Botanist and educator Duron Chavis leads a discussion on gentrification with local affordable housing experts and community advocates at the ICA. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

VCU Recreational Sports ACE Prep Course
VCU Recreational Sports will offer an American Council on Exercise Prep Course for those interested in becoming a Group Exercise Instructor or a Certified Personal Trainer. Course registration ends Feb. 1 and will run Feb. 4-April 4.
