Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences will host the event, in Room 2010, Tompkins-McCaw, 509 N. 12th St. Robyn McDougle, Ph.D., director of the VCU Center for Public Policy, will discuss techniques investigators can use to convey their research findings to policymakers. Participants can bring a lunch, drinks will be provided.

VCU Libraries is accepting submissions for an art contest celebrating the university's 50th anniversary. An anniversary exhibition of "50" finalists will be displayed on the Cabell Screen at James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave. Entries may take the form of still images (photography or illustration), gifs or short videos. The Cabell Screen has no sound. The creator of the best work will receive a $500 prize. The deadline is midnight Dec. 16.
